Major restructuring at the IAU will strengthen its heritage activities
The IAU is currently undergoing a major process of reorganisation. In the new structure, heritage activities will be managed at the Divisional level under the auspices of Division C (Education, Outreach and Heritage), thus confirming the IAU’s strong commitment to heritage activities and to its work with UNESCO to implement the Astronomy and World Heritage Initiative. For the latest news and developments in the Initiative, please refer to the Portal to the Heritage of Astronomy.
For the International Working Group composed of National Focal Points and representatives of the organizations involved in the implementation of UNESCO’s Astronomy and World Heritage Initiative, please see here (registered users only).
