Working Group sessions at the IAU General Assembly, Beijing, 24 August 2012At the IAU’s 28th General Assembly in Beijing, the Working Group held its triennial Business Meeting, hosted the public launch of the Astronomical Heritage web portal, presented the 9 “extended case studies” of astronomical heritage sites prepared for UNESCO’s Astronomy and World Heritage Initiative, and co-hosted a Science Meeting on the Conservation and protection of different categories of astronomical heritage—common issues. |

ICOMOS–IAU Thematic Study available in printThe Working Group’s first major deliverable, the ICOMOS-IAU Thematic Study on the Heritage Sites of Astronomy and Archaeoastronomy, is now available in a limited full-colour printed edition in addition to the freely downloadable electronic edition first published in 2010.
